Our beta-galactosidase mRNA serves as a reliable reporter for monitoring promoter and enhancer activity in transfection assays. It is particularly effective as an internal control in transient experiments, providing consistent and quantifiable results that enhance experimental accuracy and reliability in gene expression studies.
We have engineered our Beta-galactosidase mRNA to include a Cap1 structure (biologically superior to Cap0), a highly expressing 5’ UTR and highly stable 3’ UTR, a 100-nt poly(A) tail, and a codon-optimized open reading frame. Choose from unmodified or modified (N1-methylpseudouridine or 5-methoxyuridine) bases. Both types of modified bases have been shown to enhance protein expression in vitro and in vivo.
Our robust purification process removes dsRNA contaminants and other reaction components, generating highly pure mRNA that is capable of inducing very high levels of protein expression in diverse cell types, while causing minimal cellular innate immune activation (virtually undetectable).
As with all our mRNAs, this BGAL mRNA comes ready-to-use in a 1 mM sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.5), which is ideal for preserving RNA stability and extending shelf-life. Just complex with your favorite transfection reagent and go. Alternatively, speak to us about our ready-to-transfect mRNA-LNP formulations or our DIY LNP solutions.
If you would like to request a different amount of mRNA than what is listed on our website, or a different type of modified base, or any more information about our BGAL mRNA, send us an email at hello@messenger.bio and we’ll be happy to help.
